Mostly worries about the bar spacing and the cage material (making sure its not of toxic metals). Looking to house 1 budgie, though we might add another budgie to our family, after his quarantine time of course. So maybe 2 budgies

That is a little small for 2 budgies. You would be better off getting the 20 x 31 they show it in black. But it might come in other colors. It is also a little cheaper.
