Is this a behavior problem?

I have an Amazon that is about 1 year and 7 months old. He eats pellets + vegetables (beets, carrots, peas are his favorite) along with a lot of different vegetables and I don't have a problem with that because he prefers vegetables to pellets hahaha, sometimes I also give him a seed mixture just to add a little fat. I weigh it and its weight is great, I just have one problem. In the last month, I haven't let him out in any way (I know, condemn me because I am condemnable in every possible way), I simply entered a period of life that is difficult. He was moulting where he shed those big feathers for the first time, he didn't pluck his feathers, thank God. Last night, when I released him after this period, he had a hard time flying, he lost his fitness, he is insecure and doesn't want to fly. When he flew a short distance, he fell and hung onto the end of the cage, he didn't fall... Also, what I want to ask you about this behavior on the video, why does he shake his head like this for a long time, especially when someone approaches him, we in the house thought and we have a feeling that it is because of excitement, he does the same thing when he goes outside, he climbs to the top of his cage and does this and sings

Good Morning! I am sorry to hear that you are going thru a tough time. I have an orange wing amazon, & she has never done what he is doing, but I did have a B&G who did that when he was happy. He loved music and would dance and move around like that. Now as for the flying issue. If you can hold him securley by the feet and just slowly move your arm up and down, while telling him to stretch it will help with his muscles and before you know it, he will get his confidence back. I have done this with several parrots and it takes patience but it does work. Good Luck

Well I would say that he looks bored. Stuck in a cage for extended lengths, and appears to have no toys for enrichment. However, you stated once let out he was uncoordinated and lacked the ability to do the things he had done before... One month would not uncondition your bird. I would seek a vet as falling and not being able to fly could be serious and your video, so short in length, could be stargazing, which is serious. I would also purchase some toys before you have a plucking bird.

She only turns her head like this when I approach her or mom or dad. The guy is normal, when you talk to her she does this and it's not just now, she used to do this before, I mean not in the beginning when she was a baby but let's say a little when she grew up. I have a feeling that maybe he is doing this because of some excitement or because he wants to tell me something. The guy is now in the phase of knocking over bowls of food. I was worried only because she didn't have the strength to fly up, she covered a smaller distance.

And yes, judge me…I accept the blame, I neglected her in every way, I feel really bad and I will change that, she has always been my first priority, I am very careful about what she eats and feeds herself very well, I have also raised her in a nice way, I taught her to fly (although she has always been lazy to fly for long distances) but I am really sad because I neglected her and put her on second plan. Tomorrow I am going to buy her new toys, she goes outside every day and I have to spend time with her again. I really do not believe that her health is damaged because nothing associates me with that. I am even sure that the difficult flight was just the cause of her inactivity because absolutely nothing indicates any illness to me. She is frustrated, knocks over the feeders, when she goes outside she no longer trusts me, she knows and has a signal that if she lands on me she will be put in the cage but I still feel her love for me, she shows me that

Good Morning! Having a Amazon myself, (MS Lucy) I discovered thru lots of reading years ago, they are "Lazy Flyers". If you type into google this phrase "amazon parrots lazy flyers" it will give you a great discription of the flying issues. I exercise Lucy various times thru out the day with flying from one room to another. As for the head movements, the B&G I mentioned before would do that when they were happy. We called it the "Steve Wonder" inpersonation. I too wonder about enrichment toys? I don't see any in the cage? Parrots are VERY intelligent and they do need to have exercise and the body and the brain. I wish you the best of luck and

My double yellow head will do this quite often, rarely in her cage (but she is not there a lot), but often just standing on a play stand, sometimes when the TV is on, but often just with nothing happening but whatever is going on in her head. I would consider the action itself perfectly normal. Maybe the impetus to do it means something - boredom, interest, seeking attention - not sure. But the action looks perfectly normal.

I’m wondering if she has a different cage with toys and enrichment? If not, I would add at least 5 or 6 different toys to start - shredders, soft and hard, foraging opportunities, to see if she can fixate on something more interesting.
