Hey guys ive realized this with my lovebird who is 1 year old male red face. His crop seems to be pushed inside or something like that as you can see in the photos.
No behavioral changes i saw it from almost a month ago ang he eats very well and is very active and playful
There are no vets open in my region!! B7F72001-3E10-410A-ADAC-5F478F559365.jpeg

I do not quite understand what you mean and I am not overly familiar with Lovebirds so this is where we tag @Zara

Could you describe the problem in more detail? I'm not sure that I understand the issue.

I think he's referring to the dip in the body below the crop and above the chest.

Can you feel that area above the dip to see if it's soft or firm ( gently please). Your bird could be a tad under weight. The best way for you to know would be to invest in a small accurate scale that measures weight by grams or ounces. You will set the scale to weigh in grams.
Google "Gram Scales" so you know what I'm talking about.

You can also assess the weight by feeling the keel bone. This attached article has a great description on how to feel the keel bone. This is not to replace weighing your bird. It's a good idea to have a journal for your bird with the weights with the dates recorded and any other information you notice about your bird that may be helpful when you need to ask questions.

Now that you have said that @Mockinbirdiva and I look back at the pics I guess you are correct. My initial thought was the bird has just got a full crop and is sitting in a funny position but I see all the pics show the dip below the crop.

I forgot to ask since you mentioned he eats very well.... what exactly do you feed your bird? List everything.

Yes Andrea is right. This happened to Gisli as he weaned and took flight.

The bird in this thread looks underweight, and needs his diet tweaking to fix this.

Is your bird eating enough of all these things though? The picture says no, but if you are seeing your bird eat frequently, and are removing empty vegetable dishes, then you need a vet because something is wrong.

What plants? What flowers? To the eye malnourishment and toxicity can look the same. A bird that's so underweight whilst eating loads is also an indication of a serious condition (including toxicity) or bacteral/fungal infection. Definitely see a vet but in the meantime we may find something causal. Not all information on the net is accurate.

I would also ask what the ratio of pellets and seed mix are. Do you provide a separate cup for the pellets and a separate cup for the seed? What are the brand names of those two? It would also be helpful to know what types of greens and fruits you feed and how much.
