Hello!
Is anyone familiar with the brand SuperBirdCreations?? It seems like a very promising and bird-safe place to shop. I wanted to buy this one toy of theirs, but I saw one person in the reviews say it died their birds beak. I don’t know if this is a common bird shop, but if anyone knows anything about it, please let me know. Thanks!!

Burt often gets dye on him if his beak is wet or his toys are wet. If it’s bird safe dye then there’s nothing to worry about. @Mizzely might know more about the store

Ok thanks. I will check if it’s bird safe.
Id wait to hear from the other members. They’ll tell you what you need to know about the shop I’m sure.

Ohhh I’ve actually bought some of their products but for the life of me I can’t remember which they are... I have those tags in my draw of brand names I’ve bought from. Maybe a foraging toy as I never seem to remember who made what.

Yes, I had a feeling it was popular because I see their products everywhere!!

I've bought many Superbird Creations over the years.
Peacock is one of my bird's favorites.
Stir it up was nice, but the material they strung it with was too easy to snap and the pieces fell down.
Nice for some birds, not so good for mine.
Decent toys, some are hits, others not so.

I actually know both of those. My birds would definitely enjoy something softer than the two you listed (I have budgies). Do you know for sure it is bird-safe? In the description it says “uses bird safe materials”, although one or two people in the reviews said it dies their birds beak. Although, like @Shezbug mentioned, it could have just been their wet beaks. I want to know for sure the die is safe because I am looking at other toys and the reviews say they are very “die-heavy”. So I am not really sure what to think of it. (Sorry for the long post)

If you are not comfortable then maybe check out Mizzely’s store! Her dye is definitely safe and her toys are awesome for little birds.

They live in Canada. They could order from one of the Canadian vendors.

I love Super Bird Creations! Everything there is bird safe. I've given their toys to both my previous budgie, and my current gcc.

They also have a sister site, MakeYourOwnBirdToys.com, which sells toy making supplies. I've bought many things from them.

Darn! I was gonna tag you @taxidermynerd I thought it was you I’ve read about buying a fair bit from there but I wasn’t positive.
Any of the stores you find on our vendors list definitely have safe toys so you have a fair few decent options to choose from!

Super Bird is safe :)

If a toy got a heavy dose of dye or the bird was wet before playing with the toy, or the toy otherwise was wet, the color can transfer. The dyes are water based so they SHOULD run when water is involved.

Super bird creations is owned by Deb White who also owns make your own bird toys.com. She was a vendor here for many years.

If you are in Canada definitely check out Things for Wings. Things for Wings is owned by the same person that owns this forum and she also owns Avian Organics. :)

The dyes are safe, and what's better than a temporary 'rainbow bird'?
