Here I have attached a video of what sounds like my bird whimpering, it dosent really sound like whimpering but it did when I filmed it, my dog does whimper a lot, but winnie had never said any thing before since we just got him

He is a year old

It can take them more than a months time to bloom into their true personality and come out with more vocalizations. Pay attention to what he is doing when he makes those sounds and let us know what he is doing. Just curious...He is a year old

Just sounds like your bird chirping to me also.
While he's not directly mimicking it does sound like he's playing with his voice to see if he can make a certain sound. I can't tell what it is right now but with practice....
Afterthought. This could be a great time to be teaching him some short phrases.
