Is lotus toxic to birds?

Hi everyone! I have searched around a lot for an answer to this but found nothing, so thought maybe someone here could help. Does anyone know if lotus plant -or micro lotus- is toxic to birds? I love my room full of plants and am constantly adding more but I want to be sure that each plant I have is 100% safe.
