Is adding F10 to a humidifier safe? Especially around birds.

I have a Levoit cool and warm mist humidifier that I've been using for about two years now. Recently, I started to wonder if it was safe to add a little F10 into the unit while it ran and if the warm mist setting wouldn't turn it into a mustard-gas-like effect. I've read a few posts of members using F10 but not much on adding it to the humidifier. What do you think?

To my knowledge, yes, it is safe! But I don't know what concentration to use.

I've never put it in a humidifier, but it would keep the humidifier free of bacteria. mo;d and fungus. 18cc in one gallon, so for the firs try I would put in 1/2 that much and see how it does.

I will have to look at my measurement tomorrow. I'm actually extremely sloppy with it. " A few drops" as I've been doing it for years. I'm going to guess it's about 1/750ish maybe more. I'll dose out my mess tomorrow. LOL

You know I use it for everything..... Humidifier, wash machine, sink drains, heck... my roomba mopper runs around with a 1/500 solution.

Yah, it's a messy 1/750ish ratio. About what I figured. I disinfect at 1/250 and clean at 1/500
I wouldn't do those in the humidifier although they wouldn't hurt anything.

ML knows.... I dipped Binky in a 1/250 ratio years ago. Granted there is a lot more to that story but Binky was fine.

How in the heck do you figure out what a 1/750th ratio is I’m going to have to buy some for my braava jet that is arriving on Friday. I never wash my new wood floors with anything but hot water. I couldn’t stand the residue that the floor cleaners left on my old wood floors

I'm messy, as I said.

I have two 32oz spray bottles. 1/250 & 1/500

32 ounces is roughly 950cc. 2cc in the spray bottle is 1/500ish.. lol. I pour that bottle into my bravva.

My humidifier holds 2.9 gallons so for that I had to do some messy math.
