Are they rare or more difficult to find? Or are they a more common type. I’m trying to make sense of what someone’s telling me, and was curious if they are being truthful.

OK so they aren't what I would call rare. They happen often. But most people I guess breed for other colors -- chocolate 'self', fawn 'self', etc. So it is not the most common. But they're around, and they're popular because they are pretty. Don't get suckered -- if someone is trying to charge you an exorbitant price, they are too common for that.
