Hello,
We are relocating to India in two years. We want to relocate with our pet cockatiel. I know we need lot of documents. Any tips on airlines and documents are appreciated. Has anyone done international air travel with their pet bird? how was the experience? Thanks

In addition to whatever requirements the country requires on bringing a bird in, you need to check with the specific airline you are traveling on. Some allow birds in the cabin. Others do not or don't allow them at all. And the ones that do, normally have specific carrier requirements.

There are specialist companies that deal with international pet moves. I really recommend getting in touch with a reliable one. There can be so much paperwork involved and missing something or filling out a form incorrectly means that your pet won't be able to travel. They will also have up to date information about which airlines take birds, whether they would have to travel in the hold or the cabin, and suitable carriers.
