Hello, my cockatiel's foot looks like it's bruised a bit, it's a tiny scab under his feet so I thought it might be nothing and he'll just heal, he was pecking at it today but now he's not, he can't put his foot down anymore and he's limping, so I'm a bit worried, what should I do?

Could be a number of things...a scab on thefoot makes me think possibly bumblefoot. If he won't put weight on it, he's in pain and a vet visit is really the best thing for him

is it okay if I wait a day or two to see if he heals naturally, cause I just looked up bumblefoot and I don't think it's that, he had this bruised shape thing under his foot which was really tiny like less than a millimeter and it actually looks like it's gone now, the problem is my birds aren't really friendly with me so they don't let me get too close to check on him.

What kind of perches does this bird have in the cage? Could be a healing pressure sore that scabbed over.

it's a wood one, but I'm pretty sure they're comfortable with it, but I was bringing my female cockatiel to the vet since they had this accident where they flew in the dark and my female one bruised her wing and smeared blood all over the walls which I immediately brought her to the vet, but on the way back in the car, their perch got flipped over and they fell, that's when his leg was injured I think or maybe in the accident itself.

Maybe a night fright injury in the cage or the crash into the wall or accident in the car.

What did the vet say?

If it continues to limp then it would need to be checked as something may be broken.

Hope it gets resolved.

Keep a night light on for them at night.
