My cockatiel squanchy seems to have sprained or broken his foot trying to get it unstuck from his cage. After he got it out he started limping and now he is sleeping on one foot. None of the vets nearby have an avian specialist available right now so I’ll have to wait tomorrow. He tried to fly twice after the injury and he was able to but once he landed he began limping again.

If you have an appointment booked for the earliest available time (tomorrow) then I would suggest putting him into a hospital cage, travel carrier or small cage to restrict his movements which will limit his chances of doing further damage. Keep him warm and quiet (not flying about and landing)
