FDA grants 6-month period of enforcement discretion for Nutrition Facts label changes

I didnt know this was in the works. But I like the new labeling requirements -- so much easier to understand!

I work for a food ingredient manufacturer. They were all given plenty of time to comply. Our regulatory department has spent the last two years making sure all labels meet the new requirements. We also copack and all of our customers have updated their nutrition panels.

I didn't know about it either. I was very surprised. The last big change I remember was fixing the allergy foods to be on the labels. We were due.
