Anyone have any recommendations for any good backpack carriers that also can be used on your shoulder? Slade has a vet appointment in 2 weeks so I'm looking for something that may be more usable in the future for us going out and about next summer since he can't be trusted in a harness yet not to bite me or someone else.

I got the Celltei back pack when Dr. Foster and Smith's was still around and got an amazing deal on it. A sale and then a coupon and free shipping. I haven't seen prices that low anywhere for them anywhere else and they are on the pricey side. I don't have this one but saw it on Amazon. It seems to be getting pretty good reviews.

Amazon.com : Petsfit Bird Carrier with Stainless Steel Bowl, Includes Slide Tray for Easy Cleaning, 13" x 10" x 16" : Pet Supplies
That one is kind of perfect for what I want it for. I saw some other ones that were cheaper but didn't look like they were really made for birds in mind, more so dogs or cats.

I use the puppy version backpack by petsfit before the bird version ever got released. Added perches. My birds dont chew it so the black one has last 4-5ish years the blue one I got last year. Cost 50% less than the bird version.

Only issue with those two bags is if it is summer time or in a hot area. The plastic can heat up fairly quickly and make it really hot inside. View attachment 313939
I actually ended up ordering one of these earlier, but, I have a mini usb fan I'm going to stick in the side for ventilation if it's hot the day of the vet, and I'll probably use it next summer if need be as well! I think before next summer though I will buy one of those reptile thermometers to put in there so I have an accurate reading at all times. :)
