Indian Ringnecks and their owners past and current

So, when I first got Jade bird he constantly talked about his former owners. He’s said their names frequently until recently. Lately he calls for me by name and less often does he say their names.

Has anyone else dealt with this?

I had a Tag a long time ago, she used to talk in a very deep man's voice.
I used to wonder if she missed them. She was crippled and given to a breeder.
He didn't think she'd make a good breeder, thus she ended with me.
She never did change her words. Never spoke like me, or to me.
It made me sad thinking she missed her old family.
