Hello! I'm maddie, im new here and im sorry in advance for my english (not a native speaker) :)

I have a male indian ringneck, almost 2 years old. He started acting weird last weekend, he was constantly picking his left foot. I went to a vet in my town and he said nothing is wrong with him. Because of the COVID-19 state of emergency we are in, i was unable to go inside during the consult but the vet told me he took a sample from the skin (with a tape) and looked at the microscope, no mites, no nothing appeared. He recommended an anti-inflammatory medication for 10 days, which i didn't give to my bird, because the very next day he was no longer picking his foot and was doing fine.
It's been a week and my bird started acting weird again. I looked at his feet and i saw this:

On his right food, the skin looks very dry but healthy (i see there is a part exposed but other than this its not yellow, doesnt have many layers), i dont see anything moving (mites, insects, etc); and on his left food is a little mark because he is picking his skin with his beak...
I googled and Bumblefoot (Pododermatitis) is the closest thing that looks like whats happening to my bird, but im no expert and i would really appreciate your oppinion on this. If its bumblefoot, i see that Vitamin A, biotin, calcium and vitamin D3 could improve it, but are there other alternatives?

Thank you!

Your English is better than 90% of native speakers!

Did your vet diagnose bumblefoot?

From what I know of it, perches have much to do with it healing, or remaining a chronic condition.
The old smooth dowel perches are the worse for it, natural perches with varying shapes and surfaces are best.

Have you called your vet back to let him know the problem is reemerging?
Your bird may need to be on the meds, if you still have them I'd suggest using them if vet advised.

My sister had a bird that fought bumble foot for years.
She finally changed perches and saw a huge improvement, but it never fully cured it.

Your best plan is to talk with your vet, or even get a second opinion.

Hello and thank you!

My vet didn't diagnose bumblefoot, in fact he recommended the anti-inflammatory medication just because i got angry for him saying there is nothing wrong with my bird :/
The problem with where i live is that there aren't any specialists, they only treat dogs and cats, reason why i'm trying to figure the problem with the help of internet.

Right now, the left leg has a mark that's almost identical to bumblefoot google images, so im trusting my instinct on this.
I have willow branches as perches, various shapes, so i personally think they had nothing to do with this, especially that he is never caged, he is free to fly everywhere in the house...
I think because here is very cold during winter he might just got dehydrated feet that lead to this skin problem...

I bought him this Amazon.com : Versele Laga Muta-Vit 30 ml. Vitamins, amino acids and trace elements. For Pigeons, Birds & Poultry : Pet Supplements And Vitamins : Pet Supplies + liquid calcium supplement, and some vitamin A oil. After rubbing vitamin A oil on his feet, it was the first night he actually did sleep ok.

I honestly don't know what else to do, the doctors in my country just want to get rich, there are no bird experts.
