Do I need to use a mineral block or cuttle bone for my Indian ringneck. I currently have a cuttle bone in his cage which he occasionally eats but barely touches.

The cuttlebone is more a grooming item than food. The calcium in it is not very easy for them to use- if you wish to provide extra calcium look at either calcium rich foods or supplements.

Thanks for the advice
What's the best way to provide vitamin d3 because my bird is indoors.

Not at the moment he is on a low sunflower seed mix which contains fruits and vegtables and I supplement his diet with a variety of fruit and vegetables.

Unfortunately, none of that will give him vitamin D3.

Hi do pellets provide vitamin d3 I though the only way that you can do that is by taking your bird outside or proving him with uv lighting.

Most pellets do, however some do not. The package should tell you if it supplies your bird with vitamin D3.

Okay thanks you see I tried to convert him to pellets before but he is so stubborn that he didn't touch them. He would rather starve than eat pellets.

Maybe speak to your vet about vitamin supplements if your bird does not eat pellets??
