This time of year, getting a bag of in-shell mixed nuts (generally walnuts, almonds, Brazil nuts, pecans) is wonderfully inexpensive. I wanted to double check before I go for it - would this be a fun/enriching treat for a big too? Would any be considered too hard for her?

The bags are raw nuts, no roasting or anything.

This is a wonderful enrichment idea! None of those nuts are too hard for a large too.

Zane use to love in shell nuts, Echo not so much. I'll have to try again with Echo. Definitely great enrichment but can be a little hit and miss depending on your birds personality and past experiences. Good with it :)

My Goffin's can crack almonds, walnuts and pecans. She can crack a walnut faster than I can open one with a nutcracker. :D
My BE2 can crack almonds but only if she feels like it. She has never attempted to crack any other type of nut. She's lazy.
