Lol, kinda like the parrots, all the money, time and space in the world to take care of them properly. Mine'll probably grow like mad eventually as I remember things I forgot to put on it. :D

I want a doggie. I haven't had one since I moved out of my parent's house and I miss having one. Probably a golden retriever.

Dart frogs: I like the regular old green and black auratus, but I also like the kahlua and creams.

A leopard gecko. Probably a mack snow or an albino of some sort.

A HUGE fish tank. I mean go all out on the plants and fish. I know what I want the planting to look like(got an idea in my head a while back and haven't given it up yet) put in substrate, get cultures of little creatures that will sift through the bottom, eat algae and otherwise reproduce to create some amount of live food in there(stuff like copepods or, much as I adore them anyway, shrimp, or snails. Little creatures that populate streams) and a bunch of LITTLE fish! White cloud minnows would probably be the biggest, with some of the fish from here: Nano-Fish Probably stick with one red and the rest the lighter ones or the colourful ones. Heh. Oh, and probably some sort of bottom feeding asian catfish. If I went with south american fish in it, likely gold neon tetras and ember tetras.

And if I could get a second tank, probably a bit of a smaller one with an oscar and a couple of green severums, some sort of bottom feeder, and possibly some sort of larger schooling fish if they needed a dither.

If I had more time, I would love to get back into fishes.

Hmmm.....there are a lot of animals I love but which ones would I want to "own" as in live with? Well, I would love to have a pygmy goat, I loved working with them at the zoo. I also like chickens a lot:)

Vicki-- goats are awesome:D I have two standard-size goats right now, but I used to have several pygmies (though the pygmies were when I was much younger and hadn't taken a real interest in them yet). I love 'em:)

Honestly, if time/money/space/etc wasn't a concern, I'd just adopt more birds. Maybe a couple more goats too.

I really love the little pygmies, they are so much fun. I haven't been to the zoo in a couple of months because I volunteer and just got too busy, but we had just gotten two Nubian goats and they were also fabulous. We also had an old La Mancha. I just love the pygmies, they are so cute and always look like babies:)

I wish we had a place where we could have some pretty chickens! Never to be used for eating, only eggs! When they got too old to produce eggs, they could just retire!;)

I would want to share my life with a horse. I would want about 30 fenced acres with a nice barn and a 1930's Art's and Crafts house.

An African leopard tortoise and an ocelot. Can't have either legally here as a private individual. :(

AN ELEPHANT!!! NO DOUBT :elefant: I love them.

I'd also like a monkey, a tiger, some horses, and of course, more parrots.

Ok, kinda hard as I really love a lot of different animals. Have horses and Collies right now along with the parrots, so I'd say a Pygmy Goat, a Cappabarra, a Babydoll sheep, an Alpaca, a bunny, a HEDGEHOG, I could go on but thats a start.

LOL - take it from me, you will want to skip the alpaca - like Llama's they are NASTY and smelly - spitters!!!! Pigs are cleaner and nicer pets than alpacas. Been down that road.

Personally, I would love to have WAY more horses, especially some minis! and a few pygmy goats to boot.

Wait... ethically and realistically, or unethically and unrealistically? Because if I could have any animal in the world in a totally unreasonable context... probably spotted hyenas. No way private owners could meet all of their needs in captivity, but if it was somehow magically possible, THOSE all the way. Seriously if I could sit around and watch a clan of spotted hyenas all day, win. But I think I'll leave those in the wild where they belong. ;)

As for animals I could realistically, ethically have? I have been wanting button quail FOREVER now. Determined to get some, one day...

Ok I know they're still birds but I have a strange fixation with penguins real or other wise. In my teens I took an NSF class at the Field Museum and spent most of my lunch breaks at the Shedd Aquarium just transfixed by the 'pennies". And one Christmas two people were dressed in penguin costumes and I stalked them all over Navy Pier. My friends had to literally grab me and escort me off site!!!

??????

I would only have domestic animals. I believe that most animals, except for our beautiful birds that are raised here, should stay in their natural habitat. That being said, for now my birds and my dogs make me very happy. I do agree with Pat...Penguins fascinate all of us. I wish they could talk:)

Unrealistic is fine, tis just a game! And I forgot horses. I'd love to start riding again, especially if I could get into dressage like I always wanted to as a kid.
