Ideas for these wood perches?

Hello!

So in my attempt to make some sort if playgym/perch thingy, I ordered 4 perches. With wood I understand the size differentiation so the stated size is not 100% accurate...

Out of the 4, 2 are perfect, 1 super huge and 1 super tiny! I'm thinking of hanging up the huge one somewhere but not sure what I could do with it. Also it's ridiculous how tiny the wing nut is?!

They can all easily be rotated for the cage but I'd like to try and make something for when Preeno is out and about!

Using the big one as a base could you make something like JLcribber's cage mounted tree perches?

It would need some alterations though. Happy constructing!

A little update on me tying some sticks together

Will be tying another at an angle above it to create a second level!

Preeno is only on it to chew on the twine!

Is it possible to screw in a hook screw by hand into the large piece?

Your hook screw will usually need a pilot hole unless the wood is extremely soft like balsa. You may manage it if the wood is not fully dry and you have a decent set of pliers but a pilot hole is your best bet
