Was not sure to put this here or not. I will try to discribe best I can. I just spent the last hour trying to get a picture..That was a nightmare. thought more people would see it here.

On the top of Eddies wing, shoulder. He has about 4 pins coming in. Well its red and swollen looking. Its Realy painfull it seems. It looks as if there is alot of blood just under the surface. Like a blood blister with pin feathers coming in.

It could be an infection. I would bring him into the vet to get some antibiotics.

Will he let you handle him? You can wash it with a mild soap and cool water to clean it, let it damp dry, then pack it with cayenne pepper to help keep the bacteria out. It will also help with the pain.

Just sent hubby to the store for it. I will do my best. He realy yelps when I touch it. He is not bothering it, thank god. Is it an infected pin feather?

It sounds like it. If you can get a photo, maybe we can tell you if it needs to be pulled or if he needs to get to an emergency vet.

If you can't handle him without stressing him out, just let it be. Is he eating, drinking and pooing okay? I would lower all his perches and give him lots of room in his cage so that he doesn't fall or bump that wing.

Ohhh...I agree with Ginger, it might be infected. The cayenne pepper should help till you can get him looked at. Poor little guy.
