Hello. My cockatiel was diagnosed with gout at the hospital today. He showed abnormal symptoms in his leg, but today's hospital examination showed problems inside his body as well..
The vet told me to provide my cockatiel a low-protein diet and to feed him vegetables and low-acid fruit.
I'm feeding him zupreem natural pellets and vitapol premium . Is this diet okay for him?
Also, what vegetables should I feed him? I have some cabbages at home, but I'm not sure if these will help. I've searched a lot on the internet after getting diagnosed with gout, but I'm at a loss as there's little related information.
If you know anything about treating parrot gout, please help.
