I have been sorta setting up bird 'stations' all over the downstairs.
Since we put in a screen door I can enjoy the lovely outside WHILE they are down here. And we are working on making it so they get along, and its moving along... slowly.

So I've been setting up mini bird stations all over the downstairs.
They have their playstand and know where the 'food and water' cage is.

But they love to hangout on the stairs so I set up another station above my computer desk.
I'm a little obsessed with watching them fly since they both finally grew out the clip I gave them when we travelled to VA in the spring e.e.
It was only a partial but Porter won't fly on anything LESS than a full wing.
I have since come up with ways to take them without clipping. In a dual travel carrier.

So Pictures below.
I have ideas for others.
So yes I'm going a little crazy here.
But its a fun crazy.

I have to get somewhat creative in my little house. They have the entire upstairs room to fly in when we are home and all of downstairs as well.

Problem is small spaces and nowhere else for things to go. When I can find a place to put everything its all but a miracle.

This isn't counting the backs of couches and such either xD

no you are not crazy, you are just crazy... like most of us! :roflmao: However I wouldn't mix birds and computers, not good for the hardware to be pooped on or be covered by food rests. I'd love to have stations all over my flat but I don't want to clean the mess so I keep them on a few spots ;) I'm the lazy crazy type! :wacky:

Your computer fan could suck in the feathers & could turn into a fire hazard longterm. Just a random thought...

I love what you did & I don't think you're crazy but rather being a great Mom!

My computer fan is behind unexposed mesh that is too small to suck in feathers.
I built that computer from scratch from the ground up. Porter practically lives on my monitor xD

No fire hazard at all promise ;)

Is not just a bird nerd... But is a computer nerd as well!

Eh I clean the computer monitor daily and the computer itself is quite a bit further down and not in bird eye view..

I also have a catch mat behind the monitor. They can't see or access the wires the way things are placed.

Only thing to watch is if they chew the rope till it snaps xD

I love the idea of various bird stations! We are somewhat limited in our condo.

I just brought out Gigi's baby cage and set it up in her out area. Over the course of a few hours she flew to the side, the top, and right outside the open door on a rope perch. I filled it with familiar toys, just figuring it's another area to explore. I put a bunch of rope perches on top of it. I bet she will be in it within the week. I might try to get one of the walls completely off to make it another, albeit a little contained, play gym.
