Try roach traps. Make sure all sources of food and water are sealed properly. If it's really bad you probably need an exterminator.

Fought them once, they won, I moved out.
You may want to take see if family/friends would let your bird stay for a short time and have the place sprayed well.

In SA we have a problem with migrating roaches. They are HUGE, and arrive in swarms. I scatter this Karbadust powder about the avairy
