I got a new Camera!!!

OK so I was outside taking pictures of squirrels and birds for over an hour and I got some really amazing shots but my camera sucked so baddly that everything that was zoomed was pixelated. NO bueno. Anyhow I looked at my parents (who I'm temporarily living with until an appartment becomes available) and I said "Hannuka is comming soonish... wanna get me a early present" and to my shock and amazement my dad got up and took me to best buy. let us compare shall we??

The old Camera is a Kodak EasyShare that I got for free at a night club.


THE new camera is a Canon Powershot SX120 IS

I think I have the same camera you had, depending on which model it was, and I envy your new one. I was wanting that one for awhile and although I now want a DSLR, I still would love your camera! It has some awesome features!
by the way, the reason your EasyShare was pixelated while zoomed in is because you zoomed REALLY far and were no longer on optical zoom, but on digital zoom, which basically crops the pic.

love that squirrel - every couple years, seems that at least one baby falls from a nest and ends up here to be raised (all normal eastern greys) and I have a soft spot for them

The old Camera is a Kodak EasyShare that I got for free at a night club.

When I got my very first Kodak Easyshare, it was a 4.0MP and I thought it was the greatest thing since sliced bread!! Even when I upgraded to my 7.0 I still went with a Kodak Easyshare. I was not nearly impressed with Kodak this time around. In my opinion Nikon and Canon have overtaken them in picture quality by far!

I want my next camera to be a Nikon and I'm looking at the COOLPIX S570 (I can't afford a DSLR and point and shoot cams work for me)
