Hurt parakeet

Just asking what y'all think about putting an injured parakeet into a (clean/dry) fish tank as to keep her from trying to climb with a serious injury?
Yes, she can fly so a top will need to be on and yes, I understand the air circulation necessity, lol

That is pretty much the "hospital cage" some vets recommend with some injuries.
Did she see a vet? If the injury is that serious she should have access to pain relief from metacam or other prescribed medication. Do not give human painkillers.
