Howard was on my shoulder when I was typing the post. Maybe that's why I have a picture of my dog Joker and typed the same words! It's hard to type when you have a parrot on your shoulder whispering sweet nothings in your ear

Thank you! He came from a horrible hoarding situation but is the most loving BFA I have ever seen. He talks himself to sleep when he's on his play stand or us and than will almost fall off if we don't catch him! After we put him back on his stand he does an evil laugh and dozes off again

Of all birds I've had, BFA's exhibit lots of love. They have a unique bond. A yellow napped I had was similar in nature.

Yea they do get a bad rap, but they also love the hardest too. Poppers was a very loveable BFA.

@Hawk12237 we have another rescue BFA that we adopted last February that is just starting to come out of his house, The people that had him sprayed him with water if he called out. He may never want to have human contact and we're fine with that. He's happy and healthy and can call out all he wants.

The shelter thought he was a poodle mix. They found him on a gravel road and estimated his age to be around 8 weeks. Poor little guy was so dirty that it took 2 baths for them to see he was white.

Awwww , spray with water to quiet them!? Amazon's are quite vocal, it's their nature. And yea it can get loud. But you learn to accept it.
Had some friends talk me into looking at this baby white front amazon. I wasn't going to as I'm not ready yet. Still not over poppers yet. But must say it was a beautiful Amazon that white front was. They're a bit smaller than a BFA.
They also had a baby military , which caught my eye too.
I fought temptation, as my wife said , don't rush right out on one yet. Give it time.
