I can't fold 'em up or stuff them in the shed or guest room closet because they've always got to be ready in case of an emergency, but the boys' medium dog crates make for pretty ugly decor. The girls' travel cages are smaller & I can probably buy something with doors to hide them, but the boys' crates are about 18" deep so they're harder to hide. :chin:

Any ideas? I'm also planning on moving the spare perches & toys to a closed cabinet -always so much dust on the shelves I have them on now! :sweep::mariecleans:

I stack mine in the bedroom next to the dresser.

Mine are stored up in the garage rafters, ready to go. All I need to do is grab a ladder and pull them all down.

Michael's carrier is stored under a table covered by a long table cloth.

I can definitely relate. At the moment, my guest bedroom contains spare cages, toys, etc. But I want it to be a guest bedroom again!

Buzzard's travel cage used to live on the bottom shelf of his garment-rack playstand, but now we've got a second one that size to deal with. I don't normally take pictures of the bottom half of the playstand, but here it is in the background. It fit so well, but only one carrier fit there and I have to find another spot for it because Buzz started using it to help himself climb down to the floor. :watching:

I'm liking @expressmailtome's table idea a lot, but it won't work with our current end tables. :darn:

Mine are in a spare closet. I may have small ones, but there are four!

Casey's travel cage is small enough to fit on top of his cage.

Only the bedrooms have closets in this house. :bored: Maybe I can add a shelf up high, out of the way in the laundry room?

Mine is under the gecko tank haha. I used to have it next to the cage but Ripley also learned it was a convenient access route to the floor

I've always had my Kings medium travel cage in my room next to the cage but I'm lucky that I have a window seat so that's kinda cheating :p. But I've also had it on the tray of my Java tree in the living room it fits just perfectly between the trunk and the side for easy access.

The budgies' travel cage is on top of the shelf in their room. I miss having a smaller one, but this one is useful as a sick cage too (roomier). Lovie doesn't have one yet, I have been using a dog/cat carrier. I have been thinking about one of the plexiglass traveling cages for him.

My travel cages are kept in a closet in the bird room/guest room.

It’s quite packed though because I have 4 cages set up; Two smaller ones for quick vet/grooming visits and two my birds could stay in for multiple days in case of a hurricane etc.

My travel cage is on top of their play area and open to the flock as somewhere else to play. I find that as it's part of their daily life there is zero anxiety when I need to actually use it.

I have 2 travel cages where the parrots hang out (one on the floor in the conservatory and one on a small table in the sitting room/bird room) so that they are used to them/play on them, and it won’t be traumatic if we have to go to the vet. Another travel cage is in a spare bedroom and Kobe’s is in my bedroom as his night cage.

Mine are the foldable wire dog carriers. When you have a million birds you get quite good at setting them up in a hurry. Unfold and locked in under a minute. We keep ours in our coat closet ( which is huge and in the center of the house ). In a hurry there would be no perches but I don't think my guys have ever used a perch when traveling anywhere. :cautious:

Maybe all I need is practice, then! I usually pinch my fingers when I set 'em up or break 'em down, so they stay up.
