How to identify my bird in an aviary ?

I would honestly be surprised if the breeder was unable to tell you which of the birds is not theirs.
He should be able to tell but for some reason if he gets confused then I'll need to find my bird. I should be able to as I know few markings on his feathers that are most probably unique to him. But food dye will save much time. Sometimes they go hiding behind the breeding boxes in the aviary. He started whistling last month and he whistles my favourite tune that I use to whistle all the time, that might help to call him. I don't want to waste breeders time trying to figure out which bird is ours. He is an old man and doesn't mind helping and spending time with us so it should go all fine. I would see if he can keep him in his own cage. Looks like other birds hurt him before we bought him as his tail feather ends were chewed up a bit. I had to trim two tail feathers a little like 2mm to make it look symmetrical.

Just an update, it's been 5 days and colour is still holding well. Fainted a little only.
Between he has started eating more veggies surprisingly. I tried Cucumber, first he moved his head away but I remained persistent and now he eats from my hand. Today I tried Lettuce and he ate it from the top of the cage himself, he previously refused Kale. He also nibbled on green Capsicum and green Chilli. Somehow he refuses anything fresh that's not green in colour.

I'm so happy that he is eating veggies but sad that he may forget this while in the aviary for 4 weeks. Hopefully he'll still remember some of the training on return.
Also, he stayed on the floor with us first time.

There's a chance he might regress on the veggies but it's still great you are trying them out. :) I bet he will take to them again after you guys come back.
