I have had my finches eat seeds from my hand for a while now but their claws are a bit too long and uncomfortable. I don't want to lose their trust or make them go into stress induced shock so what should I do?

There are textured perches that you could purchase to help with this issue. Just find one with a smooth top so that it does not injure the soles of your finches' feet.
