Day 3 of having a lorikeet. He came with vetafarm pellets and powder that said could be wet or dry but it doest say how wet. I made it into a paste, he seems to like it but doesnt eat that much of it.maybe a teaspoon of it made up. He gets fruits and vegetables too, which he mostly only likes apples, though the odd grape or with of watermelon is licked if i hold it up to him.

He is about 1 year I was told and has just come here as his original owners are moving overseas. So Im not sure if he is eating enough or just off his food a bit with the move. He only wants to play all day then gets sleep and decides he is too hungry to sleep, eats a bit more then fusses around for a while.

Like runny yoghurt, about 70ml of hot water per 1 scoop of wombaroo. Avoid the pellets, or use them sparingly they contain wheat which binds up their digestion and ends up causing constipation and in worst cases death.
