I noticed that my plumbhead parakeet bird have cracked his beak when he was inside his cage.

I have a fear that my alexandrine parakeet have attacked him. I contacted a family vet and he said that it will heal automatically and told me to give him d3 drops.

Please tell based on the images how much time will it take to heal completely as he feels pain while eating. Please suggest.

You may be best to offer some soft foods such as mashed cooked veggies, pureed fresh foods, soaked and softened pellets etc while the beak heals. Injuries to beaks are very painful as there are nerves in them just like our teeth so offering easier to eat foods will be very helpful.

Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing how long it will take to heal, or how well it will heal. Additionally, depending on the injury and damage inflicted, there is always a chance that your bird may always have some degree of pain (neuropathy).
