how much should i feed my sun conure?

i am picking up my new sun conure obi in a few days and im just wondering if anyone knows how much pellets, sprouted seed and fruit/veggies i should feed him each day?

Pippa! Exciting times ahead!!! Obi should have unlimited access to food during the day. You'll be able to adjust the portions as you get to know him. I still overfill the fresh food bowls!

They will usually eat about 10 to 20% of their body weight every day. My ideal is about 70% pellets, 25% fresh foods (veggies, a bit of fruit), and 5% treats (seeds, nuts, etc). Your bird may have their own ideas about what they want to eat

I always have dry food avail. for my birds and offer fresh veggies/fruits for breakfast - you will know after a few days how much of the fresh foods they eat and can adjust accordingly.
