I´m really curious, how much do your lovebirds (past or present) eat in one day? Or how much do you feed them?

I have seeds and pellets galore avail. for my birds after an all-you-can-eat veggie breakfast. I want to slowly cut down and stop wasting so much because I empty the seed pellet bowls daily and a lot is getting tossed*.

*I save my seeds dish contents and I scatter it in the park for the quakers. But I´d rather just buy a bag of food for the days I go to the park.

I give her a full cup that comes with laundry detergent(washed). last about 2 or 3 days. Everyday I will shovel out the top for hulled seed. When her bowl gets 2/3 full I fill it up again. She also has food in the living room cage so hard to gauge cause the piggy eats from both.

I also use the laundry scoop, but I give only half. I just eye ball it. I will change the scoop for a spoon tomorrow and see how I get on.

What about veggies?

Aoife gets about a full tablespoon of pellets and about a teaspoon of seeds. And a tablespoon of freeze dried veggies.

I do the same amount as Leih, but two table spoons of pellets and no seeds. As some of you know I only use seeds whenever I want to get something done like getting them into their cage, for training or to put in a foraging toy.
They really crush the pellets, so I sift them out.
And also one tablespoon of fresh cooked veggies, they usually eat 2/3 of it.
