I am thinking about using a foaming carpet cleaner in the livingroom,
how long until I can bring Tiki back into the room? I will put him in a different room door closed with a towel in the crack, but when can I bring him back in??

Can I ask, are you planning to clean the whole carpet with it?

We are going to do the whole livingroom which is where he stays. I will put him in a back bedroom during.

I'd like to make a suggestion.

I used to do dog rescue. At times, I would have 4-6 rescues, many of them with "issues" about housebreaking, and I had a fairly new house. My carpets were TRASHED.

I bought TKO HOME

I put a capful per tank in a RugDoctor that I rented and BAM, I had yummy smelling, sparkling carpets.

Now that I own parrots, it is the only cleaner I use for carpets.

The problem with the foaming is it often puts down a layer of PTFE (TEFLON or ScotchGuard). That off-gasses for a long time. It is unhealthy for humans and especially birds.

Everyone I have ever recommended TKO to is sold after one use.

I didn't know that about the foaming cleansers.

We may just have to wait then, we are going to replace the carpet with wood flooring eventually anyways, our dogs have ruined our carpet pretty much puking pooping shedding smelling you name it lol.

Buying that TKO plus renting a cleaner may be above our budget right now since times are tough.
