How long to digest from start to finish?

I posted this question in Healthy Highway but so far no responses. Maybe someone here knows? The other day I got to wondering how long it takes linnies to pass food after they've eaten it. If they eat pellets during the day, and seed in the evening, do the morning bombs reflect the seed or the pellets? I read on the web that budgies take about 3 hours from mouth to cloaca. Is that accurate for all similarly sized birds?

I see colored poops pretty soon after Gigi has been chewing on her colored wood, so I'm guessing 3 hours might be her transit time during the day. But she does hold her poop all night and doesn't poop until between 10-12, despite lights on at 7AM. It's a huge liquid poop.

Thanks Dona! Gee, I hadn't thought about simply feeding them something bright red, say, and then timing it. Lol.
