I put mine in the dish washer. If you don't have one, I would throw it away, it's not worth the risk.

Soak it in F10 Biocare and let it dry.

I use the steam cleaner on them when I clean the cages and then about every 4 to 6 weeks I run them through the dishwasher

Steam or boiling water would work well. I'm so sorry for your loss.

THank you guys. I'll throw them in the dish washer and hope they dont melt... if they do oh well... I'll get some new ones from someplace. I'll also through the bottom of the cage in there too. Do you use the sanitize heated cycle?

I wouldn't use the sanitize cycle that is where it will melt. That is the cycle that really cranks the heat.

A standard dishwasher cycle should kill anything. Or you could soak in 10% and then toss it in the washer. It'll kill any coloration they have, but it'll kill the germs too.

I just did mine in the dishwasher earlier this week on the sanitize cycle. I did keep them all on the top rack. Nothing melted, and everything came out beautiful. :)

I run mine through the dishwasher once a month and use a steam cleaner on them every week :) It keeps them nice and fresh for the birdies!
