How dangerous is he?

I have a big flock.

Jade is very attached to my very large
Flock. Especially my Ruby-tiel.

today Jade reached over and grabbed my cockatiel by his head and shook him. There was no damage as far as I can tell but he’s under observation with my vet. I don’t know why this happened, but I seriously am concerned.

I’m going to clip Jade, but I need to know… just how dangerous is he to my flock????

Ringnecks can be very aggressive towards other birds. They are typically not a species that many people allow around smaller birds for safety concerns.

Thank you. My vet wants me to clip Jade again. Maybe I should? The same happened with my new Quaker

The way I handle my mixed beak sized flock is that Elvis and the tiels are never out together. A bird can still go after another bird even if clipped. I think the safest thing to do is that they're just not out together. I even take my tiels upstairs when Elvis is out. I hope Ruby is okay.

Ruby is fine and absolutely peeved at me. Jade is his favorite beak.
