You stepped in and saved him from a lonely death. At least he had a good meal and was safe and warm. My pessimistic side wants to say the guy lied to you about it being a couple days when the bird got hurt. I just cant see him going thats fast. God bless you for what you did. Theres a special place in heaven for people like you.

Carole, you did everything you could for him, including making his last hours full of love and attention. From what you told me, the damage was done before you even got him. Please don't blame yourself. IT WAS NOTHING YOU DID!!! Keep that in mind. He is at peace now. I'm always just a phone call away if you need anything.

You did a kindness and your efforts at least brought a living thing peace at the end of his life. Bless you for your kindness.

Thank you Cherry & JR. I was thinking this morning, and would like to write up another thread on my thoughts.{it's a beautiful day finally here...so it might not be today.;)} Basically I was thinking that maybe this little beauty might have had a chance, if I had immediately whisked him off to my CAV{certified avian vet} as a walk in emergency. And the importance of doing so on the first inkling that there is something seriously wrong with one of your birds, or in this case an injured rescue.:(
