So I am wanting to get a parrot, however I have a LOT if houseplants. Can these two coexist? I can move around and put them upstairs if necessary. But I also feel like as long as it isn't a safety issue it might be nice for my birdie to be around plants like he's in a jungle.

You will have to go through each plant and check if it is bird safe. Any that are toxic, put them outside or upstairs away from your birds reach.
Remember that even bird safe plants aren't indestructable and your bird might wreck them. So any that you really like, I would also move them away.
