Dear Friends,
I have joined this community recently and request to seek help from experts.
I am from India and I have a 40 days old baby CAG. I have been feeding her the Versele - Laga's Nutribird A19 Hand-rearing formula. But now due to COVID-19 lock-down no hand-rearing formula is available in the market. I have only 10 days of food left with me.
Request advise if there is something I can prepare and feed at home?
Thanks in advance.
Regards

You want to give it the highest nutrition possible. Here are some ideas.

Soak in warm water, grind to watery consistency— dry dog food, cat food, or bird pellet.

hard boiled egg, mashed.

insects like crickets, flies, and mealworms.

Thanks for the prompt response. I appreciate the same.

Can I mix hard-boiled egg with the dog food and grind?

I have also been looking for baby cereal without milk, I will also keep a note of iron. However, not succeeded till date!

Regards

I'm afraid I cant be of help either than, maybe puree cooked oatmeal, cooked eggs, throw in some sweet potatoes, quinoa, cooked beans, be careful of cream of wheat..it hardens in the crop..do you have access to human baby food in a jar? If so get veggies, chicken, sweet potatoes, and mix that up, it's already pureed, if you have pellets , then soften and puree them. Be careful also with the dog food, it's a good emergency food, but not for long term use.If you have You tube access, there may be some videos on there to help you.. I'm sorry I cant be more help..

Leave out the beans, it’s controversial.

Yes - mix the egg with other foods.

Here’s an article about diet - anything the bigger guys can eat, your baby can have but ground up or chopped very tiny.

Can you call the breeder of your baby? Perhaps they'd be willing to ship you some, or even know a handmade formula you can use.
