Has anyone here tried this recipe to help with skin inflammation and itching?

The spray is as follows:

1 TBS Hyland's calendula spray mixed with 1 cup of
water
1 cup of chickweed tea (to brew tea- 1 TBS of
chickweed (dry) steep for 5 min. or use fresh
chickweed 3-4 TBS. Steep in hot water for 7 minutes.
Strain. Mix the two together and you should have 2
cups of spray. Store in the refrigerator for up to a
week. Be sure the spray reaches the skin. It won't do
any good just laying on top of the feathers.

Another version that may be easier to obtain is:
1 TBS dried calendula herb
1 TBS dried chickweed herb
Steep each herb in 1 cup of water for 5 minutes. Combine and store in refrigerator for up to one week. Use several times a day for 5 days. Stop for 3 days to determine if another dose is needed.

I have used a chickweed/comfrey salve for skin irritations on myself but have never tried anything with a bird before. Chickweed and comfrey are both very good at soothing and healing skin irritations in humans

You know me Dotty always researching.

I am currently trying this out on Squeaky. He can't have eggs or green beans and I am also now feeding him grains from the health food store and trying to locate only organic veggies that I know to be organic.
Anyways I belive Dr. Harrison came up with this recipe.

Calendula has anti-viral, anti-genotoxic and anti-inflammatory properties. It also reduces inflammation and is good for soothing irritated tissue.
Chickweed is useful for cooling and soothing skin irritations, and rashes particularly when associated with dryness and itching.

I know the other food mixture I have Squeaky on now has the Calendula flower in it, as it is listed on the packaging and looks just like what I bought at the health food store.
