Hit another milestone...

Ok so Stan has been here a little less than 2 months. She was bonded to her male owner for 12 years. When she came here she instantly took to my husband which broke my heart...BUT ...daily she has been opening up to me! She still melts with him but lately I have been more then just a way to get back to her cage. She did laundry with me the other day and today she took a shower with me! She needed one so bad and my husband has been working long hours so I decided to see if she would go with me...and she did!

She is also starting to call for me to come get her instead of him...my heart is skipping a beat...has she come to her senses and have all those treats paid off?

I LOVE the fact that we BOTH can enjoy and handle her. What an awesome girl...I'm so proud of her for opening up to us both - especially because she is a rescue that was agressive to the wife in the other home.

Great story! I'm so glad she is warming up to you. Angel was raised by a man until she was 21, so she definitely prefers males but she hangs with a lot of my female friends as well. Time and patience. Great, great news that you're making such wonderful progress with her.
