Hi! I’m new here
I don’t currently have a parrot, but I’m planning on getting one and I’m thinking about a macaw. I’ve previously had a cockatiel and a budgie many years ago. I’ve always wanted a bigger parrot, but I been holding off because I live in an apartment. But now we’re planning to move into a house in not very long. I know macaws are loud, destructive, messy, need a lot of attention, expensive and will probably bite when they get hormonal, but I still really want one. I really haven’t been able to decide on what type of macaw however. I haven’t even decided if it’s going to be a mini-macaw or a large macaw. So basically I’m trying to find out what species would be the best one for me and my family. I think free flying looks really cool too, so I really would want to try it with my macaw (I know it requires a lot of training). I have cats, so I really don’t want any small bird in my home.
