Hi, I am a new member. I have an 8 week old Eclectus. mark or dent on her beak. Perhaps a bite from an adult parent. I bought her at 6 weeks old. Will this grow out in time? Should I put some type of oil to prevent scarring. Thanks
Catherine

The exterior should heal in time. I would recommend an avian vet take a look inside at the upper beak too to see if there was any damage done there… A beak wound on parrots, especially when they’re babies, can be very painful for them and affect everything from what they can eat to what kind of toys they can play with for a while.

Thankyou. I've never had an Eclectus b4. I've had many other types of parrots. She seems very sweet rather timid but gaining confidence. She studies my face.
