Welcome Tash!, it's great to see another NZ'er on here

I also bring my birds to where I work (childcare centre). They love them and they get so happy when I bring my guys along. They also learned that little birds are cool and they don't have to be in a cage. My birds stay out of the teachers/kids shoulder when they are at kindy, they do go into there travel cage to eat. The parents seem to be more interested than the children are.

Im so glad Yuki and Flynn are so well behaved with the kids.

Wow! I comfortable enough wih the budgie on my shoulder but I'd be too nervy of bigger beaks I think, but then I'm not all that used to bigger beaks either! I think eventually I'd love a wee green cheek as a companion/teaching bird, we'll see. Lol the budgie mainly stays with me - some of the other teachers can be a bit nervy with her. The children are great, she's become a piece of the furniture, it's always fun to watch parents reactions though
