Just wanted to introduce myself - I'm Sheri from Calgary. I share my home with my 14 year old U2 Luci and Mickey who is a 9 year old Bichon/Shih Tzu.
Luci started plucking about a year ago and now has naked legs and no down on her breast - you can see her skin through what few feathers she has left. As well, she over preens the rest of herself so her feather condition is not so great. She's a very happy and healthy girl otherwise.
Hoping to gain some knowledge from other experienced parrot people and maybe find a solution to Luci's plucking issue.
I look forward to becoming an active part of your community!

Hi Sheri...welcome! We live near Victoria on Vancouver Island. Our male ekkie came from my cousin in Calgary

I assume your U2 has been to a vet?
Once medical issues are ruled out, you may want to look carefully at diet - and read labels.
There could be many reasons why your U2 plucks; unfortunately, it's not always easy to determine why.
