I've been reading here for a few months and have found some really helpful posts to help me as a new parrot mom!
I adopted an African Ringneck named Cotton at the end of March who just turned two. He's scared of people (especially hands of course). He also was very ill when I brought him home with a presumed Chlamydia infection and he's on a long antibiotic course. He's also a nudist and removed allllll his feathers down to bare skin after a vet visit in April. He's currently working on growing wing and tail feathers back
He loves walnuts, exploring new cage setups, and destroying any soft wood he can find.
He's a total delight and I often spend my work breaks watching him on a pet cam
Here's a photo I took last week, trying to see how close I can get before he gets nervous. = this close
