Hello to all you fellow bird people! I just thought I'd introduce myself.

I have had many different kinds of birds over the years (chickens, ducks, geese, peafowl, quail, guineas, turkeys and Ringneck doves) currently I have one Ringneck dove, her name is Sable. She's about 6 months old and pretty curious and friendly. Here are a couple photos of her.

Welcome to the Avenue! I am a big fan of the pigeon! Last summer I grabbed up a fledgling "something", just before it was grabbed up by some feral cats. Thought it was a mourning dove. It turned out to be a Band Tailed Pigeon (which I had never heard of). I did a soft release with her (Miyetti). Missed her so much! Then, in May, I rescued a very poorly treated, half dead baby cockatiel. He (or she) is doing great!

Hope you enjoy the site. Alot of great bird people here! All willing to help and share advice, opinions and experiences!
