I'm going to be adopting a pigeon in a month and am looking for any tips or advice! It's a failed racer from this year's hatch, so it's used to people but not really that social.

Pidgies are awesome! My Snowpea,,pic below... was most likely a racer, from the band she had on. She was sick though when I got her. They do imprint and calm down pretty quickly . She eats cockatiel mix, likes the safflower seeds , broccoli florets Zupreem fruit pellets, scrambled eggs, cornbread, millet. She ,,being a girl of course gets small chopped cuttlebone, without the spine. They can be messy, but, what bird isnt? Hope to see you and your new friend around!

What a cutie! This little one was hanging around outside for a bit before I caught them up and is really really skinny. I tried calling the band but the owner's number was disconnected, so they're going to stay with me! Did Snowpea lay eggs or is there another way to tell the sex?
