Hey, my name is Rachel. I'm 31, Married Live in Georgia and I have one Feathered baby Lola aka lolabird, Lolo. She is a 3 year old Green Cheek Conure GCC. She was never sexed but "decided" it's a girl although after no eggs and after feeling the pelvic bones she is probably a male.... Shhhh don't tell her. She's sassy, funny, cuddly and the best animal I've ever had. She is our world and I couldn't imagine my life without her anymore. She says all kinds of things like.."Don't Bite!". "I'll bite you" "Bite Me" are you seeing a common theme here lol. "No" "Mom" "Mama" "Mommy" " Come here" Kiss sounds, grunting sounds she loves to laugh and purrs too. She loves to be anywhere I am and often crawls under the bathroom door to find me, my husband finds this hilarious. She even sleeps with us each night. We can't have any babies so I think that's why God gave me her and I am very blessed. I'd love to hear about you and your feathered loved one too. Hope to talk to you soon, Thanks

Hello, welcome to the Avenue!

I have to agree with Saroj. It only takes once. My friend recently lost her heart bird because she fell asleep with her bird in her bed and she suffocated under the covers.

Welcome I hope you enjoy your time here:)
I agree with others. Sleeping with your bird can lead to tragedy, sadly :(

Welcome to AA. Lola sounds like a wonderful bird. Have to agree w/ the others regarding sleeping with your bird.

I also hope you change your mind about sleeping with your bird. Accidents happen, even though nobody ever thinks it will happen to them.

Welcome to the Avenue. You could think about maybe a sleep cage for her in your room so she will still be close to you when you are sleeping. It would lessen the risk for something to happen to your baby.

Welcome! :heart2:
I do have to say i agree with the others. As @metalstitcher also said, you can get her a sleeping cage so that you can still keep her close to you. Nobody would want to lose a cute birdie like lola.
